Time-lapse: Fukushima Night Scene

Image
This is what does Fukushima look like. Since the last years's largest national disaster in Fukushima, influx into other prefectures of the country from Fukushima is accelerated, emptying in-and-around areas of the broken nuclear facilities. The video poster bravely set foot on the soil of the ghost town, which would take another 30 or 40 years to decontaminate the area to make it livable for people, as well as took a beautifully-organized video. The First Anniversary of the Japan Earthquake And Tsunami

Image
During the first year after the greatest earthquake and tsunami ever recorded, Japanese people's sense of value seemed changing, while the strong wish for the reconstruction of the afflicted areas, in fact, are gradually faded away from their minds.  Without having any directions to lead the so-called world's third economic power, the government and even opposing parties, who were able to do nothing other than claiming against the governing party's proposals, haven't done anything. Meanwhile, people in the greater Tokyo region, who live under the fear of the next possible huge earthquake to hit the capital, still keep living in the same place as they did before the catastrophe.  Not only in home but also in abroad, Japan is differently viewed today. Although the country had enjoyed high-reputation in the world with the myth of security, which is broken into pieces by the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear accident, foreigners tried to avoid living in t...

Truth Behind the Scenes: BBC's "Inside the Meltdown"

Image
As if nothing happened, we rarely have opportunities to know what is happening in Fukushima right now as long as living in Tokyo, while we have a lot of nobody-cares gossip news of Japanese celebrities.  Meanwhile BBC gave a behind-the-scenes coverage of Fukushima and the melt-down. Even though we feel something odd is going on, nobody puts it into words openly. Truth Behind the Scenes: What Does Fukushima Look Like Right Now

Image
Even though the large-sized Japan's earthquack and tsunami and the succeeding nuclear-power plant crush happened almost a year ago, only 5% of the rubble has been disposed for now. The rest still remain in the afflicted areas.  Harmful rumors about Fukushima has been damaging the region's reputation, and people there are leaving their home prefecture one after another. Domestic animals, pets and even camel birds settle in the off-limits areas of Fukushima, creating an apocalyptic world, which reminds me of a 1997 American film, The Post Man . This is not a joke. World's Worst Companies

Image
A Swiss NGO, Berne Declaration, and Green Peace hold t he Public Eye Awards , for which companies considered as the worst ones due to certain reasons are chosen and nominated willingly or unwillingly. Of the six candidates of the winner of the awards this year, the most voted company is TEPCO (Japan), heading the list; and Freeport (U.S.), Barcyays (U.K.), Samsung (South Korea), Syngenta (Swiss) and Vale (Brazil) are also nominated. Except for Japan's TEPCO, companies on the list posted their statements on their web sites that they have no call to be nominated for the awards. Among them, what TEPCO has done to Japan and the surrounding countries can't be compared to that of other candidates. Some argue that maybe TEPCO doesn't know about the awards or simply become speechless due to what they have done to the oceanic environment as a whole. AlJazeera - Fukushima: Japan is Guilty of World's Worst Sea Contamination

Image
Fukushima's nuclear explosion inflected intolerable damage not only on the inland, but also the sea. Despite the fact that the Japanese government has been seeking solution to the disastrous issue, they seem having no effective plan to stop the heavy sea contamination sprawling further and further across  the surrounding areas of Fukushima. Pictures below are highly polluted flowers found in Japan. Source(s): http://blog.livedoor.jp/christmas1224/archives/6426055.html

Baba Vanga: the Greatest Clairvoyant Ever

Image
Along with John Titor, who suddenly appeared on the Internet in 1998 with a number of predictions that would happen in the future with detailed explanations as well as is considered as a time-traveler came from the future - the year of 2036, Baba Vanga, a Bulgarian blind female, has also left lots of significant predictions until her death in 1996; and unlike Titor, she is considered as a clairvoyant, who could clearly see our tomorrows - even the end of human being. Baba Vanga Words she left actually didn't make any sense back then due to the fact that her explanations were too abstract; however, her predictions have thrown those who knew what she said into great impact when events she predicted became true.  For example: "At the turn of the century, in August of 1999 or 2000, Kursk will be covered with water, and the whole world will be weeping over it." (1980)  Twenty years after the prediction, a Russi...

Will Fukushima Be the Next Chernobyl?

Image
The Japanese government revealed the fact that 51,756 Fukushima citizens left their home prefecture to avoid being exposed to radiation as well as get some jobs outside of their hometowns. The biggest destinations they are commonly leaving to are Yamagata (10,043), Niigata (6,119) and Tokyo (5,642). By comparison with other afflicted-prefectures's evacuee population (Miyazaki: 7,848, Iwate: 1,540), that of Fukushima is outstanding. Fukushima-Resisterd Cars were under Attacks in Tokyo Disneyland

Image
Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plants being melt down, Fukushima citizens have suffered from unending harmful rumors across the nation. Recently, a number of Fukushima-registered cars' windows were broken, or sprayed "Go Home" continuously.  The victims ask Twitter users to re-tweet the cases in Japanese.  For this issue, Japanese Net-users posted: "Parking area is not a dream world." "Micky-Mouse did." "That's false." "Tokyoite did" Source(s): http://tabisuke.arukikata.co.jp/ds/r/203/r/20012/r/20283/6/DomesticSpot/4106/p/1/ http://read2ch.com/r/news/1313508145/

Half of Fukushima Children Are Exposed to Radiation.

Image
Fukushima children yelping with delight in Okinawa. A shocking news is revealed. According to the study conducted on 1,000 Fukushima children, half of them are found to be exposed to radiation. At the last conference of Japan Pediatric Society conducted in Tokyo, Satoru Tashiro, a professor of Hiroshima University, stated that their exposure doesn't jeopardize their lives soon. The results will be sent to their parents next week. For this issue, Japanese Net-users posted aggressively thoughtless and heartless comments on an electric board, aiming their attack on the innocent children who has been exposed to radiation. Can they still have such thoughtless ideas as knowing the fact that the children resign themselves to living with the reality? Chernobyl had already experienced a nuclear disaster way before Fukushima did; a number of sad stories, therefore, are reported and they could happen to Japanese, especially those who live in the pre...

Honda to Provide Humanoid-Robots to Work in Power-Plants Off-Limits to Human Beings

150 Nuclear Plants Workers in Fukushima are Still Missing.

Image
On august 8, TEPCO (Tokyo Electronic Power Company) announced that they can't get in contact with 150 workers in Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plants. Even though TEPCO has tried to manage in-and-out of their workers with IDs, hand-writing name lists and the like, they couldn't find 150 of them. Until March 11's greatest incidents than ever before occurred as well as brought on the country's largest nuclear accident, 1999's Tokaimura Nuclear Accident was the biggest of the kind, resulting in two workers's deaths. Recently, a picture that shows the nuclear damage's progression in one of the victims of the accident bears a little attention on the Internet. If you want to see the progression, click the link below. http://blog-imgs-46.fc2.com/c/h/e/cherio1222/0372602a.jpg This is another picture of exposed person of the other nuclear accident. http://blog-imgs-46.fc2.com/c/h/e/cherio1222/231108456747-up41591.jpg Even after the Fuku...

Injection of Taxpayers' Money into TEPCO's Damage Payment

Image
On August 3, a new low to help TEPCO (Tokyo Electronic Power Company) pay for nuclear-power-plants' damages with infusions of public money was established in upper House plenary session. Since the day in when Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plants were melt down, people have aimed their attack at TEPCO as well as the whole concept of the company. The decision DPJ (Democratic Party of Japan: the administration party), LDP (Liberty-and-Democratic Party) and Koumei Party made caused controversy among taxpayers due to the fact that the nuclear incident was perceived as a human disaster. Even though TEPCO is one of companies that is crucial to our lives, there seemingly is no way to justify the decision. A Japanese Movie "Tokyo Nuclear Power Plant (東京原発) (2004)" Recently, a movie called "Tokyo Nuclear Power Plant" bears a little attention on YouTube. The story centers on the daring Tokyo's Mayer, Tenma, who try to build a nuclear power plant in ...

10,000sVr of Radiation in Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant.

Image
On August 1st, 10,000sVr of radiation was measured in-between air-stack of Fukushima Daiichi nuclear reactor building and Daini nuclear reactor building. Immediately after the detection of the radiation, the government sealed off the area. That result was unprecedentedly risky more than ever. Since the day tsunami took everything from the affected town and cities, the area within 20-kilometer radius of the plant has become mystery; nobody knows what is truly happening there. The Diet failed to swipe skeptical thoughts of people in general about the nuclear disaster due to the fact that they lately announced the true situation of the power-plants: melt-down of the reactor building and so forth. The current situation around Japan is big challenges: reconstruction of the affected areas, nuclear disasters, Yen appreciation, strained relations with China and South Korea, American financial disaster, and more. While the situation of the area...

Melt Down

On May 13th, 2011, Tokyo Electronic Power Co, inc (TEPCO) admitted the fact that the nuclear-power plants numbered one to three are melt down; and this fact should have been common sense in the Japanese government as well as the company. If this fact had been uncovered earlier, people in Japan would have experienced a great panic ever before, causing economical and political disorder in the nation. A couple of days down the line, none of Japanese media report the news as a lead story; instead of that, their focus is on a suicide of a Japanese talent who took her life at the age of 24. Some of the specialists mentioned the fact that the situation of Fukushima could be worsened than that of Chernobyl. Some Japanese Net-uses jokingly posted a comment, reading "well, we just need to wait for a few MILLIONS of years to wait for the attenuation of the nuclear materials. As you can see on the world map, compared with the size of former Soviet Union in national territory, it obvious...
