Larry Page: Maybe We Don't Have to Work So Hard

At Khosla Ventures public conference, July 3rd, 2014, Google co-founders, Larry Page and Sergey Brin discussed what jobs and labor should be from the standpoint of Google. According to Larry Page, in this industrialized world, actual amount of work we need to sustain the world today is less then one per cent;  the problem is that people are not recognized it yet. Also people are not happy when they have nothing to do, and that is exactly why companies employ people, keep destroying the environment. The outcome of it is pretty destructive. Feeling unwanted or unneeded is the last thing people need, but it shouldn't be. Being productive is not what you need, because the world is already productive. Additionally,  global unemployment is kind of a big joke. All we need to solve this problem is to reduce work, letting people have some time to pursue their interests or spend it with their family or friends.
